Southwestern Indiana Citizens for Quality of Life
A community-led organization protecting public health and environmental quality in Southwestern Indiana.
Real-time Air Quality Map
We provide real-time air quality data so residents can understand what they’re breathing and how it may affect their health — right now, where they live.
-
Air quality readings show levels of common pollutants measured by local sensors. Colors and numbers indicate how clean or polluted the air is at a given moment. Higher values may pose greater health risks, especially for children, older adults, and people with respiratory conditions.
-
Poor air quality can trigger asthma, heart and lung conditions, and other long-term health issues. Having access to real-time data helps people make informed decisions — such as limiting outdoor activity or advocating for cleaner air in their community.
-
SWICQL uses air quality data to inform community members, support public education, and advocate for policies that protect public health. This information also helps identify pollution patterns and prioritize areas for further action.
BATTLETESTED. COMMUNITY‑DRIVEN.
UNAFRAID TO FIGHT FOR WHAT'S RIGHT.
Who we are
Southwestern Indiana Citizens for Quality of Life is a grassroots coalition of neighbors, advocates, and everyday people who refuse to look the other way when our health, our land, and our future are on the line. We’ve stood on the front lines of environmental fights that others said were too big to take on—and we’ve proven, time and again, that organized communities can win.
We bring together lived experience, local knowledge, and a deep commitment to fairness and transparency. Our work is grounded in the belief that every person deserves clean air, safe water, and a healthy place to call home. When powerful interests threaten that, we show up. We dig in. We stay in the fight.
We are not new to this.
We are battle‑tested, resilient, and ready for whatever comes next.
